We’re back at it again this year, dishing on the latest and greatest in honeymoon-worthy hotels. From dirt cheap digs in ridiculously stunning places to once-in-a-lifetime luxe splurges, we’ve searched high and low (and across oceans and continents, oh my!) for the 10 most romantic destinations on the planet.  We know that your honeymoon is the most special trip of a lifetime, so here are five splurge and five steal options to help start your life together.




Octopus Resort

Where is it: Waya Island, Yasawa Islands, Fiji

Romantic reason to book:  Two words: Fiji sunsets.  Likuliku Bay was voted one of the Top 10 Beaches in the World by Condé Nast Traveler. Accomodations, from multi-bed dormitory-style rooms to private beachfront bures (a Fijian word for a wood-and-straw hut)are meticulously clean, serviced daily and stocked with tropical flowers.  Open air showers and private verandas add to the romantic vibe at this intimate resort. Where is it: Ixtapa, Mexico

Romantic reason to book:  This hideaway just outside of the quiet south-coast town of Ixtapa has 35 rooms and 35 suites housed in adobe-inspired casitas tucked among lush tropical gardens. No two accommodations are exactly alike, but all terra-cotta-tiled rooms feature a private terrace, while suites include an outdoor infinity pool. Decor is clean and modern, with wide-open spaces. Where is it: Maui, Hawaii

Where is it:  Buenos Aires, Argentina

Where is it:  San Pedro de Atacama, Chile
